We do our best to ensure each rat is handled with love and respect. We have routine bonding that helps our babies adjust to humans. I also believe the cages can be a socialization tactic because they allow my family to interact with them through the bars.
Additional socialization and warming-up time may still be required by you, the future owner. It is not solely our job to socialize them, but for you to continue your own routine and practices.
When we adopt out our rats, they are usually anywhere from 6-8 weeks old. These babies are still blossoming, and you may need to be patient with them. I do my best to encourage healthy human behaviors, and then it will be your turn to continue such practices.
